How Much Does AC Cleaning Cost in Bangkok? 2026 Price Guide

AC cleaning prices in Bangkok range from ฿300 adverts on a lamp post to ฿2,000 per unit from a brand's own service centre. Most of that spread is not profit margin — it is what the visit actually includes. This guide lays out the real 2026 numbers and what each price buys.

Standard clean: ฿500–900 per unit

This is the six-monthly service for a wall-mounted split: filter, evaporator coil and blower wheel washed in a wash bag, drain line flushed, outdoor coil rinsed, and the unit run and checked afterwards.

CoolRova's prices, all units in one visit:

Units One-time clean Per unit
1 unit ฿690 ฿690
2 units ฿1,290 ฿645
3 units ฿1,790 ฿597
4 units ฿2,290 ฿573
5 units ฿2,790 ฿558
6–8 units ฿3,290 ฿411–548

The price falls per unit because the expensive part of a visit is getting a technician, ladder, pressure washer and wash bags to your door. Once they are there, the second unit costs less than the first. Full table on the pricing page.

Deep chemical wash: ฿1,200–1,800 per unit

When a unit smells, drips or blows weak after a standard clean, the dirt is behind the blower wheel. A deep chemical wash removes the blower wheel, louvres and drain pan, foams and soaks everything, and applies an anti-mould treatment before reassembly. It takes 60–90 minutes per unit rather than 45, which is where the higher price comes from.

CoolRova's deep wash is ฿1,290 per unit. One is included per unit on the 4-Visit Year Package, and most homes need it about once a year on top of the six-monthly standard cleans. When to choose which is covered in standard clean vs deep chemical wash.

Repairs: ฿590 diagnostic, ฿1,500–6,000 for common fixes

A repair visit starts with a diagnostic — gauges, current draw, capacitor, fan motor, sensors and board. CoolRova charges ฿590 for the diagnostic and waives it if you go ahead with the repair. Typical fixed quotes including parts and labour:

  • Capacitor: ฿1,500–2,500
  • Indoor fan motor: ฿2,500–4,500
  • PCB board: ฿3,500–6,000
  • Compressor: quoted per unit, and often the point where a new inverter unit makes more sense

You should always get the repair price in writing before any work starts. If a technician cannot tell you the number before opening the toolbox, ask for a different technician.

Refrigerant: ฿990–3,500

Gas is where a lot of Bangkok customers overpay, because "it needs gas" is the easiest thing to say and the hardest to check. A sealed system never runs low — if it is low, it is leaking. A proper refrigerant visit pressure-tests first, finds and quotes the leak, then charges by weight. CoolRova charges from ฿990 for a small top-up including the leak test, and ฿1,800–3,500 for a full recharge after a repair, depending on the refrigerant. If you are not sure which gas your unit takes, read R32 vs R410A.

Year packages: 10–25% off per visit

Because two cleans a year is the right interval in Bangkok, buying them together is cheaper than booking twice:

Units 2-Visit Year 4-Visit Year HostCool Year
1 unit ฿1,240 ฿2,190 ฿3,490
2 units ฿2,290 ฿4,090 ฿6,290
3 units ฿3,190 ฿5,690 ฿8,690
4 units ฿4,090 ฿7,290 ฿10,900

Packages are a bundle of visits valid for twelve months, not a contract. Unused visits are refunded, and the guarantee runs the whole year instead of 30 days. HostCool is the version for Airbnb hosts, with unlimited same-day no-cool call-outs between guests — there is more on that in the AC schedule that stops "not cold" reviews.

What the ฿300 advert leaves out

A ฿300–400 "ล้างแอร์" price is possible only by skipping steps. Usually that means no wash bag (so the wall gets wet), no drain flush, no coil cleaner, a filter rinse and a wipe of the cover. The unit looks clean and is dirty again within weeks. Sometimes the low price is recovered by "finding" a gas problem on site.

Whatever you pay, ask for three things: a wash bag, a drain test, and a photo of the coil before and after. If a company won't provide those, the price is not the bargain it looks like.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to clean an air conditioner in Bangkok?

A professional standard clean of a wall-mounted split costs ฿500–900 per unit in Bangkok in 2026. CoolRova charges ฿690 for one unit, ฿1,290 for two, ฿1,790 for three and ฿3,290 for six to eight units in one visit, with a photo report and 30-day guarantee included.

Why is a deep chemical wash more expensive than a normal clean?

The blower wheel and drain pan are removed from the unit and stripped separately, the coil is foamed and soaked, and an anti-mould treatment is applied. It takes 60–90 minutes per unit instead of 45, so it costs ฿1,200–1,800; CoolRova charges ฿1,290.

Is a year package worth it for AC cleaning?

For most Bangkok homes, yes. Two cleans a year is the right interval here, and a 2-Visit Year Package at ฿1,240 for one unit saves about 10% against two one-time cleans, adds a free gas and drain check each visit, and extends the guarantee to the whole year. Unused visits are refunded.
